چکیده
Objectives: Phytochemical constitutents and antimicrobial property of the aqueous extract gel leaf on some pathogenic microorganisms. The phytochemical determined include Tannins, Saponins, Flavonoids Alkaloids. Aloe vera had its highest antibacterial activity B. subtilis (23.33±0.88) antifungal C. albicans (16.00±2.31). While substilis S. aureus (21.33±0.88) (21.00±3.22). Comparatively, extracts showed better than against microorganisms in study. activities were compared to those orthodox antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin Ketoconanzone). From results, plant (gel leaf) antibiotics, therefore, have shown ability overcome resistances amongst Results study indicates potential as a source chemotherapuetic agent that may be useful medicine.

Evaluation of antioxidant potential of aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis miller) extracts.
The polysaccharide and flavonoid concentrations of two-, three-, and four-year-old Aloe vera were determined, and their antioxidant activities were evaluated compared to BHT and alpha-tocopherol by the DPPH radical scavenging method and the linoleic acid system at 100 microg of soluble solids per mL of ethanol. The results showed that three-year-old Aloe vera contained significantly higher leve...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Antifungal and Antioxidant Activities of the Leaf Extract of Aloe vera(Aloe barbadensis Miller)
Aloe vera has been used worldwide both for pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic industries due to the plethora of biological activities of some of its metabolites. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antifungal and antioxidant activities of the leaf extract. The antifungal activity was determined by the agar-well diffusion method against plant and human fungal pathogens. The methanol and et...

BACKGROUND: Aloe vera, a succulent plant prevalent in hot, dry regions of Asia, Africa, and other areas, has been used in traditional medicine for many centuries. It is easily propagated in most places where the climate is hot and dry. The gel and dried latex obtained from aloe leaves are used for relief of constipation; for wound healing; and for treatment of burns, psoriasis, frostbite, ulcer...
متن کاملOsmotic dehydration combined with hot air convective drying of Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) gel
Aloe vera gel is widely used as a functional ingredient in food processing. This gel is very unstable due to its high water activity. Drying process can be used to obtain shelf stable products. Response surface methodology was used to assess the effects of solution concentration (30-60% w/w), solution temperature (30-50°C) and immersion time (4-6h) at atmospheric pressure and constant solution ...
متن کاملEffect of aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) gel on doxorubicin-induced myocardial oxidative stress and calcium overload in albino rats.
Administration of a single dose of doxorubicin (DOX) (7.5 mg/kg, i.v.) produces cardiotoxicity, manifested biochemically by significant decrease in blood glutathione (GSH) and tissue GSH along with elevated levels of serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and serum creatine phosphokinase (CPK). In addition, cardiotoxicity was further confirmed by significant increase in lipid peroxides expressed as ...
